Whilst there we also took a boat trip to see Isla de Plata, also known as poor man’s Galapagos so see a plethora of wildlife.
“The day-to-day challenges of expedition life encourages students to develop life skills and build deeper confidence, resilience and empathy,” said Liz Green, trip leader. “Working in partnership with World Challenge we were able to create a truly unique experience for our students.
“World Challenge have over thirty years’ experience running trips and lead the way in quality, safety, ethical community engagement and learning outcomes,” she continued.
“An experience like this really complements school learning, and gives our students the opportunity to become true life-learners and global citizens. With expert guides were able to step out of their comfort zones and take on roles and the leadership of their group. In some unforgiving environments they worked together to support and motivate each other through.”
