Careers support in the Sixth Form

Home > Academic > Sixth Form > Careers support in Sixth Form

Sixth Form students are increasingly wondering what life will hold for them once they finish school, and our Careers Department offers a wide programme of support to help them discover options and make informed decisions.

Careers information and advice is led by a specialist team and delivered holistically by all staff at Latymer Upper School. Subject teachers, tutors, academic mentors, careers staff and other support staff all play their part in guiding student decision-making and progression, both formally and informally.

Our students progress from Latymer to top higher education destinations, both in the UK and around the world. Where an individual’s passion and ambition leads them to more unconventional routes, we are proud to offer support that can extend beyond their final year of study. Each year a number of students elect to take a gap year and are given the same level of support and encouragement as their peers.

The staff involved in careers advice include:

  • Head of Sixth Form
  • Head of Careers
  • Careers Coordinator
  • Head of International University Applications
  • Oxbridge Applications Coordinator
  • Medical, Veterinary and Dental Applications Coordinator
