Registration of Interest for Occasional Places 2026
The Occasional Place registration period for September 2025 has now closed.
At this stage you will be able to register your interest for an occasional place for September 2026 for years 8, 9 or 10 from 12 May 2025. You will not be asked to pay a registration fee at this time. Please note that Latymer does not offer out of year admissions.
Should we have places become available we will invite interested parents to fully register candidates via an online form in the Spring term of 2026 and at this point you will be asked to pay the registration fee (non-refundable). Following confirmation of your child’s registration, we will request references ahead of an entrance examination here at Latymer Upper School, Hammersmith
Those who are successful in the exam will be invited to attend an interview, please note that we are unable to offer remote or overseas exams or interviews for occasional places. Scholarships and bursaries are not awarded as part of the Occasional Places process.
To register you will need to show proof that your child can live and study in the UK by uploading a copy of any relevant supporting documents such as passports/resident permit/visa. Unfortunately, if we do not have evidence that your child can live and study in the UK, we are not able to make an offer. We are unable to sponsor pupils who require a Child Student (formerly Tier 4) visa. Please also ensure that you have the last two years of school reports ready to upload as part of the registration process. Please note that only those with parental responsibility are eligible to complete the form.
For entry into Year 8, candidates will choose from one of the following language options – French, German, Spanish or Mandarin. A second language option will be allocated by the Languages department.
For entry into Year 9, candidates will ideally have studied Mandarin or Spanish previously and French and German will be offered ab initio. If candidates have not studied Latin prior to joining Latymer Upper, this would not be available as a Year 9 option. Ancient Greek would be available as an option.
For entry into Year 10, Candidates must have been learning one or more of the following: Spanish, Mandarin, German or French in order to take at least one of them as a GCSE language. A home language (i.e. one candidates are fluent in or speak predominantly at home) will not be considered for this purpose.
Offers are typically made before the end of the Spring Term.
