Clubs & societies

There is a fantastic choice of around 150 clubs and societies for pupils to join and they are very much integral to the rounded Latymer Upper School education.

From chess to dance,  aerospace to Japanese puzzles, life-drawing to water polo, each student is encouraged to try new activities, be it for one term or longer – with some going on to become lifelong passions.  All pupils are encouraged to join at least two different clubs and societies.

Follow your passions

Many of the clubs meet during the extended lunch-time while others take place immediately after school. A number of the clubs and societies are set up and run by the students themselves such as the team who produce the student newspaper and blog: The Underpass.

The clubs on offer change from term to term as new clubs are introduced responding to students’ interests. Some clubs are run for specific year groups but most give students the opportunity to get to know pupils from up and down the whole School, something that we see as integral to our pastoral programme and student support networks.
