Congratulations to our Year 12 students who competed in the South London regional finals of the F1 in Schools Competition held at RAF Benson in May.
Five teams competed in the ‘professional class’ which is judged on their engineering & enterprise portfolio, brand presentation & CO2 race car speed. ‘Team Scuderia’ won ‘Best display’ & ‘Team Blitz Tachyon’ won 2nd place.
Each team got to fire their car down a specially designed track, with their reaction time & overall speed digitally recorded.
They did enough to qualify for the national final event in June, but sadly due to a timetable clash were unable to attend.
