Yesterday, seven University of Edinburgh undergraduates visited Latymer Upper School as part of the ‘Insights’ work experience programme run by the university’s careers service to reach out to current undergraduates from “widening participation backgrounds”. They spent the morning meeting various teachers, observing lessons and touring the school in order to get a better understanding of what life is like working in the teaching profession.
This is the second year that Latymer Upper School has welcomed the students and underlines our commitment to social inclusivity. We look forward to welcoming more students from the university next year, particularly as we send many of our own students to Edinburgh and one of our Senior Management Team, Will Goldsmith, is an alumnus himself.
