Sport Scholarship Application

All candidates must first satisfy the academic requirements for entry to the School.

Sports interviews will take place from the middle of November. Awards are made upon the recommendation of the Director of Sport. Sports Scholarships are usually renewable for the second year of Sixth Form subject to satisfactory academic progress and conduct, and provided the recipient remains actively engaged in Sport at Latymer Upper School, to the satisfaction of the Director of Sport.

Criteria for the Sports Scholarship at 16+ are:

  • A high level of representation (at least County Level or higher) in a major sport at which Latymer Upper School is represented:- rugby, hockey, football, cricket, fencing, rowing, netball, tennis, athletics, badminton, swimming;
  • The ability to take a second sport from the named list to a high level;
  • Proven leadership qualities;
  • An excellent record of commitment and sportsmanship;
  • Two references will be required

The Sports Office will be in touch with candidates regarding the process for trials and interviews.
