Congratulations to Lilly, who won the National Centre for Early Music Young Composers Award 2018 (18 years and under).
The award was presented by NCEM in association with BBC Radio 3 and the award-winning virtuoso period instrument ensemble The English Cornett and Sackbut Ensemble (of which Latymer’s Head of Wind and Brass, Tom Lees, is a founder member).
Lilly’s composition ‘Bridge of Sighs’ was inspired by a trip to Venice and will be recorded for broadcast on BBC Radio 3 later in the year.
