Latymer Upper School A Level Results 2025

Continuing last year’s success, Latymer Upper School students have once again excelled at A Level, breaking the 80% A*/A grade barrier for the second time. Almost a quarter of our students achieved all A* grades and we are proud to announce a new school record for A*- B grades, with an extraordinary 95% of all results falling within this range.

This outstanding academic success has translated into an exceptional year for university offers, with 84% of students who applied to university (both in the UK and internationally) securing their first choice. A record 32 students have secured places at Oxbridge, with the University of Oxford being the most popular destination – 22 Latymerians will be heading there in the autumn. All 11 medicine applicants secured their places at destinations including Bristol, Exeter, Manchester and UCL, along with 3 students achieving a place to read medicine at Cambridge.

“We are delighted to see such success amongst our students, both in the grades they have achieved and in their university placements.  It is testament to their hard work and commitment and we wish them all the very best in their future endeavors.” Head, Su Wijeratna

Our bursary students have enjoyed another very successful year,  achieving 80% of their grades at  either A* or A. 60% of bursary students achieved exclusively A* or A grades, many of whom will be the first in their families to attend university. Seven students gained 2 or more A* and courses include Law, International Relations, Economics, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Philosophy, English and French at universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh, UCL, Warwick, Imperial, Princeton and Durham.

Latymer’s EPQ students have also enjoyed tremendous success, in a qualification that is widely welcomed by universities and which prepares young people for undergraduate study. Adding breadth and depth to their studies, 73% students attained an A* grade and 96% achieved either an A* or A grade.

Several Latymerians will be attending European universities such as Universita Bocconi in Italy, IE University in Spain and Leiden University in the Netherlands Several students are also awaiting to hear from universities in Ireland, which makes post A-Level offers.

The range of US institutions our students have enrolled in is incredibly diverse, from leading research universities such as The University of Chicago, Columbia, Dartmouth, Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, Princeton and Yale as well as liberal arts colleges such as Haverford and Williams.

Saanya Gulati Latymer’s Head of International University Advising said,“We are incredibly proud of the offers our students have secured this year. The diverse range of outcomes underscores the global mindset of the cohort and the spirit of intellectual curiosity that we encourage at Latymer.”

Hugh Stephens, Deputy Head (Academic) commented, “The results this morning  are outstanding and represent continued academic success at Latymer, with more records broken this year. We are immensely proud of our students and recognise the extraordinary dedication and resilience of our Upper Sixth Year group. We wish them all the very best for their next steps.”
