20 of our Latymer Upper School Year 12 students completed their Gold Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition in the Yorkshire Dales over the Easter Holidays. The students demonstrated their navigational competency and some impressive campcraft with some extremely ambitious cooking on stoves. They were challenged with miserable high winds and rain on the first day but the sun came out on subsequent days to enjoy the far reaching views and unique scenery. They have even more challenging terrain to look forward to on their qualifying expedition in the Lake District in July. A big congratulations goes out to everyone involved!
