Latymer Upper School aims to provide young people with a life-changing education that allows them to excel in the modern world. Our educational aims
The Latymer Learner Profile was developed to illustrate our ambitious academic goals and its opening statement refers to the aims of a Latymer education:
- To enable all our pupils to flourish as human beings in an ever more complex and connected world
- For our pupils to develop the dispositions and skills to be the best they can be
- For our pupils to be a positive influence on the world around them
Drawing on Aristotle’s concept of Eudaimonia (‘human flourishing’ and ‘living well’) for inspiration, we also keep our eye on 21st century contexts. Our pupils will need to flourish in a world of uncertainty and constant change; we recognise that context and are constantly responding to it accordingly.
