Latymer Upper School Student Selected for UK Team at the International Mathematical Olympiad

We are thrilled to announce that Teri, a Year 11 student at Latymer Upper School, has been selected to represent the United Kingdom at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) – the most prestigious mathematics competition in the world.

The IMO is not only the oldest of the international science Olympiads but also widely regarded as the most challenging. Earning a place on the six-person UK team is an extraordinary achievement for any young mathematician, and for Teri to do so while still in Year 11 is truly exceptional.

This qualification places Teri among the top mathematical talents in the country. What makes this milestone even more remarkable is that Teri remains eligible to compete again in both Year 12 and Year 13, a rare opportunity that speaks to their immense potential and dedication to the subject.

Teri will join the UK team travelling to Sunshine Coast, Australia, where the 2025 IMO will take place. We are incredibly proud of Teri’s success and wish them the very best as they prepare to represent the UK and Latymer Upper School on the global stage.
