As part of Refugee Week 2023, students across Latymer, like Imogen and Myriam in Year 10 got involved in the UN’s Read for Refugees campaign supporting the Latymer Upper School Library’s fundraising efforts for UK for UNHCR.
Finley in Year 7 gave himself an amazing challenge to read 100 books in support of #ReadforRefugees – that’s an average of one book per day! Not only that, but he has raised over £185 in sponsorship.
Oona in Year 9 who entered last year’s Read for Refugees competition, won a prize of a caricature drawn by author-illustrator Sue Pickford Cheung, which beautifully incorporated some of Oona’s interests for reading, drawing & music. Thank you for the incredible artwork!
