At the beginning of July, Latymer Consort and Strings travelled to Tuscany to spend five days performing in concerts in the area.
19 students from Years 10 to 13 had the opportunity to perform concerts in beautiful churches in Siena and Florence as well as singing Mass in the Basilica in Montecatini.
In addition to exploring these beautiful cities, they also went on trips to Lucca and a day out to the beach at Viareggio. “We enjoyed lots of great singing and playing and the chance to indulge in a lot of ice cream and pizza and it was a perfect way to say goodbye to the Year 13s who were leaving, having given so much to the Music Dept during their time at Latymer!” says Mr Geoghegan who led the trip.
Our thanks to Mr Geoghegan and the Music Department for organising this incredible experience for our students and to our Laymerians for being such fantastic ambassadors for the School.
