U13 Girls march on through the Cup!

The U13 Girls’ Football team have made it through to the last 8 in the English Schools’ Football Association National Cup!

They have reached the quarter finals, after starting out in a pool of over 500 schools, a truly remarkable achievement.

They will face Beaumont School away in St. Albans in the quarter finals after February half term.

The foundations were already in place for a strong season: last year, when the team were in the U12 age category, they competed a year up in the Independent Schools National Cup at U13 level, and impressively topped their group, making the quarter finals.

This year they have been competing in the English Schools’ Football Association National Cup, and are producing a fantastic cup run.  Highlights of this run include a very impressive 7-1 win over St. Gregory’s in the 4th Round, a 2-0 away win against a very competitive Fitz Wimarc school and, most recently a 2-0 win against Kingston Academy in a game of very high footballing quality.

We’re wishing them all the very best of luck!
