“The pupils and staff at Latymer are truly inspiring. I feel part of a very close-knit community of colleagues who are not only experts in their field but who are passionate about passing on their knowledge to bright and engaged pupils.”Lower School Teacher
Latymer Upper School and Latymer Prep School recruit individuals of the highest calibre for both teaching and support staff positions. We offer full induction for Newly Qualified Teachers and our staff participate enthusiastically in on-going annual Professional Development.
Latymer staff contribute generously to the wider life of the School and all are welcome in music-making, drama and sports in particular. You will have access to superb facilities including a new on-site Sports Centre with a pool and gym. You will be working with a talented and supportive team of colleagues in a riverside location in Hammersmith, close to Central London with excellent transport links. For the children of all established staff, there is the opportunity of a subsidised education at Latymer Upper and Prep Schools (subject to the usual entry requirements).
We look for teachers who are passionate and knowledgeable about their subject and who delight in enthusing young people about learning. Your timetable will include 'protected time' for further professional development. A limited number of residential spaces are available each year for newly-recruited teaching staff to assist in the transition of moving to London. These are allocated annually on a first-come, first-served basis.
All teaching vacancies are advertised on the Times Educational Supplement website.
Support staff at Latymer Upper and Prep School work in a range of vital and valued positions and many have had successful professional careers outside the education sector. The experience, knowledge and dedication they bring to the School allows us to function as a modern and forward-thinking enterprise. Support staff vacancies are advertised via the relevant media and press.
Latymer Upper School and Latymer Prep are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. Applicants are required to read the Recruitment and Safeguarding Policies - see links above - before submitting their application.
