ACADEMIC LIFE

In Year 7, pupils are taught in form groups for 40 periods a week. In addition there is a tutorial period every week when the Form Tutor follows the Personal, Social and Health Education curriculum and addresses any topical issues which may have arisen in the Form.

Field trips and visits which relate to the curriculum and amplify the educational experience include:
English Department: West End plays
Geography Department: Box Hill field trip
History Department: Roman St Albans, Bodiam Castle
Science Department: Science Museum

In addition, they spend Monday afternoons on Games:

YEAR 8 CURRICULUM

For most subjects, pupils in Year 8 are taught in their form groups. Mathematics and Modern Languages are taught in ability bands. They continue to have a tutorial period every week with the Form Tutor, who follows the Personal, Social and Health Education curriculum and addresses any topical issues which may have arisen in the Form.
