Means-tested scholarships are awarded at 11+ and 16+ by Latymer Upper School on the basis of academic excellence and family circumstances, and can offer up to full fee remission. Parents who are interested in means-tested scholarships must tick the relevant box on the registration form and also indicate whether or not they wish to be considered for a full fee paying place if the application for a means-tested scholarship is unsuccessful. Those applying for means-tested places will then be sent a Confidential Statement of Financial Circumstances form, which must be completed and returned by the date indicated on the form. This information allows the school to determine the level of financial assistance that may be offered. Should the candidate be considered for assistance, a home visit will be a normal part of the assessment process.
All means-tested awards are given at the discretion of the Head. Where awards are not to the value of full fees, the School can top these up to 100% of fees if appropriate. Means-tested awards are subject to annual review.
