LIFE AT LATYMER

BUILDING

FOR THE FUTURE

The Latymer Facilities Department carries out building and maintenance projects around the Upper School and Prep School sites on a rolling basis. Much work carried out revolves around setting up specific layouts for events and assemblies, moving supplies around the school and on a day-to-day basis making sure the facilities and communal areas are running efficiently.

On top of these crucial elements in the daily running of the school buildings, the facilities department undertake various building and maintenance projects. Small to medium projects with in-house staff and external contractors; and in the case of larger projects, the Project Manager and Deputy Head are involved in all building and architectural decisions to better exact the outcome and expectations of the building.

Latymer Performing Arts Centre

In April, Sir John Tooley, former Director of the Royal Opera House, opened our state of the art Latymer Performing Arts Centre.  This houses a 100 seat recital hall, music practice rooms, a dance and drama studio and sixth form teaching rooms.

Pupils are now benefitting from this fantastic new space, both for music, dance and drama and for teaching.  721 pupils take individual music lessons at the School and this building allows them more space and opportunity to develop and show off their talents.
