From time to time, a small number of places may become available for entry at 13+.
Entry at 13+ is by direct exam, taken early in the Spring term of the year of entry. Enquiries should be made to the Registrar's office in the first instance. The number of places available for the following year will be known in October of the academic year preceding entry and no candidates will be considered before that time. A candidate seeking entry at 13+ will be required to submit a current school reference and report and entry to the exam will be dependent upon that and discussion with the candidate's current Head. Candidates who are then invited to sit the exam will be required to complete a registration form, with a non refundable fee of £75.
Those candidates invited to take the exams will sit a series of papers, early in the Spring term (dates to be advised). Successful candidates will be invited to interview and results will be published before the Easter holidays, allowing parents sufficient time to give their child's existing school a term's notice.
Music scholarships, up to a maximum of 50% of fees, are available for entrants at 13+, and applications for music scholarships will be welcomed. As a rough guide, candidates should be at Grade 6 on their main instrument.
For further information on entry at 13+, please contact the Registrar's office on 0845 638 5721.
