The Universities and Careers Department comprises an interview room, 7 computer work stations, a library and an office manned by the Careers Secretary.
Individual interviews are given to all Year 11 and Lower Sixth students. Practice interviews are given to all Oxbridge and Medical applicants and are also available on request to other students.
Year 11 and sixth formers attend the annual Careers Evening to chat informally with Old Latymerians and parental advisors about possible careers. The annual Higher Education Launch in March for Lower Sixths and their parents is followed in June by a 3 day university application programme.
University tutors and Latymerians now at university come in to talk to students about subjects at university. Year 11s complete one week's work experience. Exchanges with work experience take part annually with the Canisius-Kolleg, Berlin-Tiergarten and the Lycée Notre-Dame du Grandchamp in Versailles.
