LATYMER PUPILS CELEBRATE BEST EVER GCSE RESULTS

Hot on the heels of celebrations last week for the best ever A Level results, pupils at Latymer Upper School are now celebrating the best ever GCSE results.  86% of the results were graded A*/A, with 52% A* grades.  The pass rate was 99.6 % and 100% of candidates gained 5 or more GCSE passes.

There were some extremely good individual performances with 21 out of 134 students gaining 10 or more A*s and 76 students (57%) gaining 5 or more A*s.  15 achieved at least 11 A*s. 

The Head, Peter Winter, said: “We are all thrilled with this resounding confirmation of the strong upward trend in our results at every level. These are best ever GCSE results.  I congratulate students and staff alike – a winning partnership. With over half of all papers sat graded A*, these students can expect great things as they move into the Sixth Form.”
