PARENTS' GILD

Latymer Upper School benefits from an active and inclusive Parents´ Gild.

All parents are automatically members of the Gild, helping them to become fully involved in the school community by taking part in areas of particular interest to them.

The purpose of the Gild is to:

  • Maintain and strengthen communications between parents and the school.
  • Organise a range of events at which parents can meet each other and staff on an informal basis.
  • Support the school at academic and sports meetings.
  • Raise money, primarily for the Horizon Fund which aims to ensure that no Latymerian is excluded from an educational school trip or club.

Activities include:

  • Organising formal and informal social and fundraising events
  • Managing the weekend Sports and Fitness Club held on the School site
  • Running a second hand uniform sale each term
  • Organising informative, supportive and fun parenting talks each term.

Latymer is a friendly and thriving community and we warmly invite you to contact members of the Gild´s committee should you wish to become involved in any of the fun and interesting activities on offer.

Camilla von Massenbach, 2007/8 Chair

If you have a child at Latymer, please go to the parents sign in for full details of the Gild´s organisation and events.
