Assistant Facilities Manager

Required from mid-April 2017

Latymer Upper and Prep Schools are fully co-educational independent schools in London. We are a large site in Hammersmith with the Upper School on King Street leading down to the Prep School by the river Thames via our own underpass.

We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Facilities Manager to support the Facilities Manager in running the department and take responsibility for the efficient co-ordination of events and lettings. You will need to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and have excellent IT skills. Previous experience of working in a facilities environment is desirable.

Estates Assistant

Monday to Friday (Term Time Plus 4 Weeks)

We have a great opportunity for an efficient and friendly Estates Assistant to join our Facilities team. Working as part of a team, you will support the Estates Director with a number of routine administrative tasks, including arranging meetings and co-ordinating dairies.

You will need to be well organised, have good IT skills and a can-do attitude. The Facilities Office is busy and you must be able to work with frequent interruptions.

Hours will be 37½ per week during term time. Holidays are paid, as you will be unable to take leave during term time. Salary will depend upon experience. We offer a contributory stakeholder pension scheme, free lunches and a number of other benefits.

Sports Administrator (term time only)

Required from 18 April 2017

Latymer Upper School is the leading, fully co-educational independent school in London. We believe that physical education is an important aspect of each pupil’s development. Our PE and Games department consists of 16 full-time teaching/coaching/admin staff and multiple other part-time coaches. The School also has a well-established and successful Boats Department with eight Rowing Coaches.

We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly, highly organised Administrator to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Physical Education & Games Department as well as the Boats Department.

You will need excellent IT and organisational skills and be confident communicating with children and parents. Experience of working in a school or sports environment would be useful but is not essential.

Afternoon Receptionist (Term Time Only)

Facilities Team Member

Our busy school needs another skilled tradesman or woman to join the facilities department. Applicants must be able to carry out a variety of maintenance tasks with minimum supervision, work as part of a team and be able to communicate well.

Applicants should have general building, maintenance or plumbing skills. Carpentry skills are desirable, but not essential. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience of setting up events and basic IT and smartphone skills.

This role would suit a hands-on character with a “can-do” attitude and a clean UK driving licence.

The hours will be 40 per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend shifts.
